Coreldraw System Requirements Performance

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 jumped onto shelves in January 2006, introducing a whopping 40 new features to designers. Built for use in advertising, printing, sign-making, engraving or manufacturing, the target audience was both professionals and occasional business users. Much like previous versions of CorelDRAW, the goal was to give designers the ability to work efficiently and quickly, getting products out into the world fast.

CorelDRAW X3 introduced improvements to text handling, making it easier for designers to work with typography. Text handling let users select, edit, and format text, with controls added for alignment, drop caps, tabs, bullets, and columns. Being able to specify text size in inches was of great value to print designers, and the application worked even better with text from other sources.

CorelDRAW X3 built on the foundations of CorelDRAW 12 when it came to tools for illustrators. The Star tool allowed users to lay down perfect stars, and the Complex Star tool opened up new opportunities for easily creating cool geometric shapes. The Crop tool was another new addition designed to help the user save time by quickly removing unwanted sections in objects and imported graphics.

One of the biggest new features was the introduction of the new Corel PowerTRACE tool, letting designers convert bitmaps into editable vector graphics in moments. PowerTRACE generated a color palette based on a traced image and converted it into a usable color mode. By quickly switching back and forth between before and after previews, tracing introduced designers to a whole new world of time-saving digital tools.
